Physiotherapy & Exercise Therapy

What is the difference between physiotherapy and exercise therapy (training therapy)?

Classic physiotherapy initially focuses on relieving acute pain and restoring mobility (often through passive treatment techniques on the treatment table). Exercise therapy is then the next step: Here, we work specifically on building strength, velocity, endurance, stability and coordination.

Why is exercise therapy important?

The combination of physiotherapy and exercise therapy makes the difference. While a purely passive treatment relieves symptoms, it often does not resolve the underlying issues in the long term. Through the subsequent exercise therapy, we prevent relapses and increase your physical resilience.

Billing

Is a physiotherapy invoice tax-deductible?

Yes, physiotherapy invoices are recognized as tax-deductible medical expenses. Additionally, if you have a private health insurance or a supplementary fund (such as Mutual Help, Assimoco, etc.), you can submit your invoices for reimbursement. We recommend checking your specific policy for coverage details.

AGON is a strictly private practice for physiotherapy & training and does not have an agreement with the South Tyrolean Health Authority (SABES).
