Dietitian in South Tyrol

If you want to change your diet in a targeted way – because of a medical condition, to improve your sports performance or for a lasting change in everyday life – a registered dietitian is the right person to see. Dietitians hold a degree in dietetics and are specifically trained in science-based nutrition counselling and therapy.

At the AGON joint practice in Sterzing, registered dietitian Jasmin Steckholzer advises you in person or online – for patients from the Wipptal and all over South Tyrol.

When should you see a dietitian?

For diabetes, thyroid disease, lipid disorders, fatty liver, IBS, endometriosis or PCOS, before, during and after cancer treatment, or with disordered eating – but also if you want to boost your sports performance or change your diet for good.

In addition, BIA measurement (bioelectrical impedance analysis) determines muscle and fat mass, hydration and cellular health, making your progress visible.

Frequently asked questions about dietitians

What is the difference between a dietitian and a nutritionist?

The term “nutritionist” is not protected in many countries and is used for very different qualifications. Dietitians, on the other hand, hold a degree in dietetics and are trained to provide nutrition therapy for medical conditions.

What happens in the initial consultation?

In the initial consultation (50 min.) we discuss your starting point, your goals and any medical reports. You receive tailored materials and concrete recommendations for everyday life, which we adjust in follow-up sessions of 30 or 50 minutes.

Do you offer online consultations?

Yes. Consultations are available in person in Sterzing or online – follow-up sessions in particular work well online. The BIA measurement takes place at the practice.

Are there long-term support packages?

Yes: the Start package “Focus & Change” (3 months) and the Annual package “Sustainable Success” (12 months), including initial and follow-up consultations and BIA measurements.
